Weekend of Playing in the Snow

We took the kids on the machines. We went tubing and taught Max how to drive the Mini Z, Yes I said Drive. He is 3 1/2. What a day

Tanner ready for the ride.
Conner and Taygan on the 300. Conner is getting pretty good on that thing.

Max always wants to go with Grandpa Con

What a busy body that Max is. We took him out on the reservior and he learned to drive the Mini Z. He even tried a few boat docks as jumps. Mindy got some good pictures. We love having the kids come. We are blessed to get to be a part of the lives.

Christmas 2009

The kids learned a new game this weekend. JACKS, imagine that. I told them that I played Jacks at recess when I was in school. They then had t0 learn the game.

Max was so excied when he would pick up a jack.

The memories that a set of Jacks can brning back.

Tanner wanted to play Jacks everytime there was a break in the action

Preggo Chalet

Cracker and Chalet are going to have a baby in about 30 days. They had some awesome pictures taken. Go to leavittphoto.blogspot.com to view them. WE (oh I mean me) are so excited, we (I) can't hardly stand it. January 22nd is the official date. I'll keep you posted!

Snow Puppy

Our puppy, Chloe, loves the snow. We have to watch her though, she will wander off and her little feet get to cold and she will just stand there and not move. She will have snow balls on her under side. We just love her!

The Sites of Christmas

Our tree at the cabin. It is pretty skinny, kinda a Charlie Brown tree. I told Con that I didn't want a really tall this year ( to hard to decorate by yourself) so we went a hunting for a tree, found one and the next day Con took the grandkids to cut it down, well let's just say he didn't bring the one that I had pick-out, but I love it!

I love Christmas time in the mountains beacuse there is always some snow and the wind is usually not blowing.

Notice the icicles hanging off the roof :-)

Christmas Traditions

I don't remember to many of my families traditions as I was growing up but the one that I do remember is Christmas Tree sweet breads. My grandma Albers, my mom mother, would make these every year. That traditions was past down to my mom and you guessed it to me. My girls are keeping this tradition alive and are making the Breads. They are the best with lots of cream cheese frosting and then warmed up in the microwave. I am waiting for the grandkids to get here to decorate.
