New Quilt This & That

I saw a cute quilt last night at The Gathering Place. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I want to change my guest bedroom but I don't want to paint so this quilt kit will be just great. I can change the border to match the paint and this quilt and be done. What fun at a very little work.
The quilt class I have been doing has helped me so much. I put this square together twice in less than 2 hours. That's cutting, sewing and putting together. But the biggest joy was that seams matched. So I want to make curtains and shams, does anyone have any ideas for something fun?

6th Quilt Square

We had our monthly quilting class last night. It was a make-up class also and I finished 2 squares in 4 hours. For some that may seem long but for me it was great. I am finally getting it. Figuring out how flying geese fly has finally found a way into my brain and I am enjoying the concept. Thanks Shelley for all the help. You are awesome.

Jaycie's Easter Tutu

Jaycie sent her first Easter at home with Mom and Dad. The Easter Bunny found her and it looks like she faired pretty good. I made her little Easter tutu. Check out that cute smile. Love you, Jaycie

What Troppers!

We had so many fun things planned, but the Idaho weather was not cooperating with us. The kids bundled up and braved the storm, or the wind I should say. Conner was not in this pic because he had to go to work with Grandpa. And you know what, he is better help than some of the help we have at the DQ and he is 9. Go figure!!!

LOVE THE SMILES :)

Family Traditions

For the last, well probably 25 years on General Conference weekends, Con has fixed omelets for brunch. And this year was no different. We had omelets, fresh fruit including chocolate dipped strawberries for Conner, muffins. I had packets for the kids to work (thanks Nancy). We played conference bingo, word searchs, coloring pages and journals for them to write what the topic of the talks were.

You want what, Max

Frosting Fight Anyone?

Taygan and Grandpa Con had to share their frosting with each other.
Quess who won!!!!!

Family Times

Cody, Mindy and the kids came for the Easter weekend. We had fun doing the traditional things at Easter. Frosting cupcakes, dying eggs, flying kites ( in the snow, cold and wind). Not a very good grandma weather weekend.

Max didn't want to take his coat off. I think he was afraid that he might miss something.

Grandpa, I want blue frosing

Conner was pretty protective of his eggs. He wanted them to be perfect.

And then there is Taygan. She is a very good helper in the kitchen.

Tanner had his colors picked out right offf the bat.
