Today is Cody's birthday and so on Saturday we took his family out to dinner. There is a new place in Logan called Smokin' Blues BBQ. They have 28 different flavors of root beer. The boys are tasting huckleberry root beer. It was pretty sweet.
Conner decided to stick to orange creme soda. One in each hand!
Conner loves ribs. He says they are finger lickn' good. Max as pretty sleepy after he got his tummy full. He fell asleep on the way home. What a kid!

Puppy Care
Cracker, Chalet and Jaycie went to St. George for a bike race that Crack was riding in, so Grandma Vicki got to be the dog sitter. Gizmo, in the center is no problem at all. Daisey Mae, the one not minding for the picture is a little crazy or maybe OCD. Chloe on the left just puts up with her extended family. They are so fun to watch play. (Maybe next year I will get to be the babysitter for Jaycie!)

We sent Valentines/President's Day all by ourselves. We went to the cabin and enjoyed just being lazy. We did get the snowmachines out of the trailer but we didn't go very far. Made a couple trips to West Yellsowstone for pizza and breakfast.
Self portait, not to bad. If only grandpa Con would have smiled.

I love holidays because of the yummy foods.
2c shortening
2c sugar
2 eggs
pinch of salt
2 c buttermilk
1t baking soda
1 T vanilla
7c flour
Blend shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, salt, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix soda and flour in a separate bowl. Gradually add to sugar mixture. Cover. Chill for 30 minutes. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 thick. Cut into shapes. Bake @ 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
I tried a new sugar cookie recipe. It has buttermilk instead of sour cream. They are yummy and they stay soft. This recipe came from Chalet's friend, Jodi.

Okay, so this last weekend I got to spend some time in Logan. I went to Conner and Tanner Jazz basketball games, watch the Super Bowl ( GO Saints), Con lost a bet on the game and he had to buy Conner pizza, spoil our little Jaycie and I even found time to make this arrangment to go in Jaycie's nursery. Cody found the bucket and he told me to fill it with flowers. I think it turned our pretty darn cute. They are building a shelf to up above the nightstand. (Get r'done, Cracker)
Notice the darling blanket on the chair. Chalet made it!
